FAQ

What other precautions should I take when travelling to Bali?

Page last updated 18 April 2022

One of the most imminent health risks of travelling to Bali is dengue fever. This a flu-like illness transmitted by the bite of infected mosquitos, which can be very serious. There is no vaccine available in Australia, so the best protection is to avoid mosquito bites. Protect yourself with insect repellent, wearing clothes that cover your arms and legs, and staying in accommodation that has air conditioning, nets or screened windows.
